The first Ohio Valley Archaeology Symposium will be held at Campus Martius Museum, Marietta, on Saturday, September 19, from 10 am to 5 pm. This event is sponsored by the Council for West Virginia Archaeology and the Ohio Archaeological Council, with local support from The Castle and Campus Martius museums. Professional reports on archaeological research in the Appalachian region will be featured, and a trolley tour of the Marietta mounds will be provided. Registration includes morning refreshments, a catered lunch, and the trolley tour.
