Looking for a fun way to spend time with your community? Join us for The Castle’s Community Day & Volunteer Fair—an evening of free activities, local connections, and opportunities to experience the museum in a new way.
Bring your friends and family and enjoy a relaxed community celebration at the museum. Explore interactive exhibits, try hands-on crafts, and watch live demonstrations happening throughout the evening. Our friends at Rhododendron Ice Cream will also be on site selling their delicious hand-dipped ice cream, making it the perfect outing for all ages.
As part of the event, you’ll also have the chance to learn how you can get more involved with the museum. Meet current volunteers and staff, hear about their experiences, and discover the many ways community members help bring history to life—from leading tours and helping with field trips to assisting with special events, archaeology digs, and behind-the-scenes projects.
