History Camp: Expansion & Change 1820–1840

Travel back in time with a 5-day camp filled with historic hands-on activities for students in grades 3rd–6th! In this year’s camp, we’ll explore the local, state, national, and global events of 1820–1840—a time of rapid growth, reform, and innovation. From the construction of Ohio’s canals and the rise of early industry to social movements for abolition, temperance, and education.

Campers will be immersed in engaging activities such as crafts, games, tours, music, dancing, and more! Join us for a fun-filled, educational week.

Registration fees include all materials, activities, and tours.

Campers (Students Entering Grades 3rd - 6th in Fall 2026)

Camper Registration:

$30 per Day
$125 per Week

Limited scholarships are available. Space is limited. Pre-registration required by June 19
After June 20, Call 740-373-4180 to inquire about availability.
(For a full refund, cancellations must occur 2 weeks in advance – June 22.)

Camp size is limited to 40 campers on a first come first served basis.

Counselors (Students Entering Grades 7th and above in Fall 2026)

Our History Camp Counselor positions combine the fun of being a camper while gaining leadership experience. Limited positions for junior and senior counselors are available and are evaluated and chosen based on qualifications and experience. Applications are due by May 22.
