Five exciting days of hands-on historic experiences at The Castle with music, art, crafts, historic characters, trips, and other fun-filled programs. Experience different aspects of Marietta's history by taken part in the activities of various historical occupations and the daily life of citizens in Marietta's past.

June 21 - Civil War Day
Special Program - Meet Marietta's Gettysburg Hero, General Rufus R. Dawes
Activities - Soldier Drill, Quilt Squares, Basket Weaving, Life of the Soldier, Join the Cavalry
June 22 - Town Day
Special Program - Meet Marietta Founder, General Rufus Putnam
Activities - Victorian Dress & Manners, Language of Fans, Castle Tour, Make Paddle Boats, Victorian Pastimes
June 23 - River Day
Special Program - Meet Marietta's Naval Hero, Commodore Abraham Whipple
Activities - Watercoloring, Paddle Boat Races, History of Buckley's Island, Nature Walk & Exploration
June 24 - County Fair Day
Special Program - Country Dancing
Activities - Bean Bags, Stamps, Fair Games, Craft & Judging Contests
*NOTE: Schedule is subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
The camp is fashioned for children entering grades 3, 4 & 5. Registration fee of $30 per child per day, or $125 for the entire fun-filled week. Fee will cover all trips, craft materials, beverages, and snacks. Please provide a sack lunch that does not require refrigeration. Because of the personalized ratio of child to counselor in each group, the size of the camp is limited.
